Stick fibre reinforcements for reinforcing dental
plastics in the dental laboratory

Stick and StickNet are fibre reinforcements made of glass fibres and a highly porous polymer matrix intended for reinforcement of the acrylics and composites used in dentistry. These reinforcements can be used with light-cured, chemically-cured and dual-cured resins and composites, as well as with powder–liquid acrylics. Stick fibre expands slightly when it is wetted  with the resin or acrylic. That is why it is especially well suited for reinforcing thick prosthodontic structures, such as full dentures.

The unidirectional Stick fibre bundle adds strength and stiffness to the material in the direction of the fibres. However, by adding more fibres you can further increase the amount of reinforcement.

From the Stick package it is possible to fabricate 30 to 40 frames for fibre reinforced composite Maryland bridges or reinforce 8 full dentures.
